This week we are away for a bit.
Away in another part of our country, the beautiful Free State and the town of Parys.
It is Easter weekend (see I even caught the Easter bunny haha), and I traveled here to second shoot at a wedding with a friend of mine. David decided to come along, so we made a long weekend/holiday out of this trip.
But just like life is and how God has his plans for us, this weekend could not have come at a better time…
Being away from everything that we got used to so far, since moving back to South Africa, has just been what we needed.
During these 16 weeks of 2014 we’ve experienced one crazy roller coaster ride of ups and downs. Some wonderful ups but also a lot of downs, shocks and tears.
And strangely enough not everything because of our move back to South Africa, just things that was supposed to happen this year and that made our move back here all the more fitting.
But like everything in life, taking a step back and viewing your life from a wider angle, makes you see the bigger picture and the bigger plan God has for your life. We tend to get stuck in viewing everything from one point of view, one side of things, one opinion… But there are SO much to learn if you just listen and change your view.
So yes, this post is personal, but also a turning point for me. Some things will start to change from now, small things at first making way for the bigger ones. I’m scared and excited at the same time, and have no idea where it will take me, but I trust in the path set out for me.

The photos are just a few snaps of our weekend here in Parys, us drinking tea on the stoep, watching the sunset, talking and planning.
