Louleyla was also a teacher here in Korea, and we’ve “met” on facebook, via my facebook photography page.
So when we started talking about doing a winter themed shoot, I got really excited, because it really is something special to live in a country where it snows during winter.
We wanted the snow to feature a lot and to give a wintery feel to the shoot… So, we went to the mountains in Wonju (Gangwon province, the coldest province in South Korea) for the shoot, and it was REALLY cold, -5℃…
Louleyla almost froze, she put snow in her hair, blew snow into the air, sat down on the snow, with only her thin layer of clothes… I fell in the snow a few times (with my brand new camera in hand). But in the end, we had a great time, and in between warming ourselves at a local coffeeshop in the mountains, we got great photos and I left the shoot feeling like I’ve made a new friend!
And to top it all, Louleyla is gorgeous and a natural in front of the lens!
