Week 17 is here.
It is strange to know every week the exact week we’re in. It makes one realise how quickly time goes by and how you should not waste time on nonsense. Not that I don’t waste time anymore…
This week we met up with old friends of ours that were also in Korea a while ago. Last we’ve seen them was when we said goodbye in Korea and they came back to South Africa. In the meantime they had a beautiful little girl who is now 1 year and 3 months old and the sweetie in this week’s photo. Her name is Simoné.
This week’s post is about capturing a moment, and how lifestyle photography does just that. If you’re taking photos in a lifestyle way, you have to be quick and always on the lookout for a great moment to capture. Your camera has to be ready and settings right for the scene, so that you can just click.
This was a sweet moment between Simoné and her mom. She was just sitting there drinking her bottle, but she grabbed hold of her mom’s hand and just kept it. A perfect moment and now forever caught in a photo! Later she did the same when she sat with her dad, you can see in the second photo.
Maybe this was just coincidence, but maybe it’s something she does all the time. Still, it’s a sweet moment and something to remember. And THIS right here, capturing a fleeting everyday moment, is what makes my heart sing and what makes photography my favourite thing to do!
